Faith and Liturgy Groups
Children’s Liturgy Of The Word
We have a very vibrant Children’s Liturgy Group, which gathers during every Sunday morning during 11.00 a.m. Mass except in the school holidays. Based on the liturgy of the day we sing, pray and have lots of fun activities always relating to the Gospel of the day. All young children are very welcome.

Confirmation
We normally hold Confirmation catechesis every two years. This year we will be delivering a YOUTH CAFE course called ‘Plugged In’, which is a very youth friendly course and will be directed not only to our Confirmation Candidates but also to any young person who would like to explore their Catholic faith further. Any young person wishing to be Confirmed should please contact the parish priest.

First Communion
Every year, our catechists help our children to prepare for the First Holy Communion. The sessions concentrate on the importance of every aspect of the Mass, whilst making the learning fun for the children. We have prayer, group readings, drama and art activities. The children’s work is displayed weekly in the church porch. Start dates are always published in the Parish and school newsletter. If you have a child you wish to put forward for Holy Communion please contact the Parish Priest.

Music
The church has a Choir and Organist who lead the singing at the sung Mass on Sunday and at the major festivals of the Church’s year. Music is regarded as an important part of worship and the musicians enjoy consistent support from the parish priest and the congregation.
The choir meets to rehearse at 7.00 p.m. each Thursday in the church. New members are always welcomed, no matter how experienced or inexperienced. I can promise you that there is a warm and supportive welcome awaiting you. Potential choristers and musicians are invited to contact Ruth Hudson via the Parish Office.
Having heard on Remembrance Sunday, the efforts that the choir puts in to accompanying and enhancing our worship, may I appeal again to anyone who can or would like to sing, to come and join us. We always need new members and you do not need to be able to read music. We learn all that we sing over a period of weeks which gives plenty of time to take new pieces on board.
Take a risk and give it a try! Ruth.
